Coming up at the end of the month, The Brookside Art Annual will take place literally steps from where Wornall Road meets in the heart of Brookside Kansas City. During this weekend, literally thousands of people will walk our streets and enjoy the weekend.
Wornall Road Baptist Church will take part in serving our community. Below are several ways you can get involved. We need your help-so contact me at matthewcreath@yahoo.com now to volunteer! Our goal is to bless our community, to love them, and to share the love of Jesus!
WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
April 29th
-PARKING LOT: we need 3-5 volunteers to man our parking lot anytime from the hours of 6pm-10pm. During this time, we will take donations for our parking spaces, all of which will go toward our community missions fund.
-FLYER HAND OUT: we need 2-4 volunteers to distribute flyers about our Saturday events at the art fair that evening. Anytime you are available is fine.
April 30th
-PARKING LOT: we need volunteers to man our parking lot anytime during the day and evening on Saturday from 10am-10pm. During this time, we will take donations for our parking spaces, all of which will go toward our community missions fund.
-CHILDREN'S STREET FAIR/CONCERTS:
During the hours of 1:00pm-5:00pm, we will have a great event happening across the street at Border Star School on the corner of 63rd/Wornall (where the planters and tables/chairs are). Included in this will be a kid's street fair with fun games, a concert stage with performances by the "Red Onion Jazz Babies" (a local KC Jazz group) from 1-3pm as well as by Geldart at 3:30pm. We will also be BBQing and raising money for a great cause. Below are opportunities to serve. We need lots of help.
1) Set-up/Tear Down: I need some folks to step up and volunteer to help in set up and tear down. This will involve arriving early Saturday morning and will require quite a bit of lifting.
2) BBQ: I need someone to volunteer to BBQ hot dogs and run our food booth. Preferably if you have your own BBQ grill you can bring, that would be great.
There will other opportunities as well. So please contact me ASAP so that we can get you scheduled!
It should be a great opportunity to love our neighborhood and share the Love of Jesus!
