I'm still here...

Well, if any of my faithful blog followers are still out there, i'm still alive! :) It has been a whirlwind 3-4 months. I honestly, and truly, don't even know where to begin.

The biggest and most important news in my life is that Leslie Follmar has agreed to be my wife! On March 12, I planned a special evening for us. I won't re-write what happened, but allow you to go to leslie.blogs.com and read about our evening which concluded with us being engaged! We plan to be married late this summer, here in Kansas City. Needless to say, i'm a happy, and blessed man. I could write a book about how excited I am. But, I don't want to write a 100 page blog post.

Other big news is that I am graduating with my Masters (MDIV) from Midwestern Seminary here in KC May 22nd. So much new is happening my life right now, this included. For the first time in over 20 years I will be finished with school, and have met the goal I set out for myself when I graduated high school (to complete my masters). Anything past this will just be icing on the cake (and that icing, if it happens, will not be happening for QUITE A WHILE, if at all). If you are interested in coming to my graduation, all are welcome. Just shoot me an email or call.

Things with Midtown Community Church are going well. Honestly, we feel like we have some solid hope building in the community, and as a farmer would say, we are working hard at plowing the field daily. We are continuing to learn so very much, and realize how little we know. The Lord is so good, and he is blessing us. We have a CRAZY summer ahead of us as we confidently look towards middle of next fall for our "launch" (if you are around church planting that will make sense to you). This, added with a wedding, plus working multiple other jobs, has put me in the middle of a whirlwind right now. To my financial supporters, I can only thank you for your grace in my lack of communication over the last few months. I will be getting a newsletter to you soon, I promise.

All of this being said, i'm back, and hopefully on a regular basis. I've told some people as I look at my calendar that if I make it out of May still in tact, we are smooth sailing from there! You can pray for me in all seriousness, because it is a busy month coming up, that God would show himself to me and give my the supernatural strength I need to continue.

Many blessings to all!
