Well, many of you have/will recieve my August 2009 update letter in the coming days. The hard copies were sent out today, and I emailed copies to many folks last night. If you would like to recieve one, let me know.
The last two months have been quite crazy! Busy, yet good. Great weariness, yet beneficial. I was reminded today of how faithful the Lord is, even in incredibly hard circumstances that most of us cannot relate to.
Most people would respond with a negative when someone and/or a group of people completely devestate your life (and this isn't about me, just fyi). I am learning so much by watching a good friend of mine right now. The last year has been full of confusing adversity for Him, yet, he seems to be seeing Jesus in His life more than I am. What a great lesson for us to truly understand how hardship, even that which is not understandable, sharpens us and pushes us closer to Jesus. It will do that, or bitterness occurs, and our lives are incomplete. I'm thankful for the former in my friend's life.
God is Good, He's moving in my city, and in our church!
